Triangle Strategy Announces the Release Date for Steam

In the Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed numerous new games. One of them is Octopath Traveler 2, a follow-up to the 2018 game that popularized HD-2D RPGs.

On February 24, 2023, Octopath Traveler 2 will be released on the Nintendo Switch, where such games are often limited-time releases, as well as the PS5, PS4, and PC.

The same developer behind Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default 2, two games that debuted on Switch before being released on other platforms, also created Triangle Strategy.

Contrary to Octopath, there are currently no plans for a Sony or Xbox console version of Triangle Strategy.

In Triangle Strategy, which takes place 30 years after the War of Saltiron, players will decide the fate of three powerful kingdoms at war: Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante.

We shall follow Serenoa Wolffort, the main character, and her devoted allies Prince Roland, her childhood friend, Princess Frederica Aesfrost, and Benedict, House Wolffort's steward, as they attempt to negotiate this new battle.

Triangle Strategy can be ordered in normal or digital deluxe editions with a 10% discount before October 13th. The deluxe edition will also be sold in a package with Various Daylife, a different RPG with a strong focus on crafting that was just unveiled for the Switch and PC.

Here is our original Triangle Strategy review for the Switch, which gave the game high marks for its more mature script, consistent 2D-HD visuals, and exciting combat despite its sluggish pace.
